Ein Ort im Einklang mit Körper, Natur und Geist.
Vaikuntha liegt in Guerstling in Frankreich, nahe der Grenze zu Deutschland, direkt an der französischen Nied, in grünen Hügeln und großen Weiden mit natürlichen Wasserquellen.
Das Gelände
🏠 Haupthaus
Ein ehemaliger Pferdestall, der liebevoll aus natürlichen Materialien ausgebaut wurde. Der so entstandene multifunktionale Raum kann für Workshops & Trainings sowie für Festivitäten genutzt werden — und dient als Mittelpunkt der Gemeinschaft, wo gekocht und verweilt wird.
🌱 Garten
Um autark zu sein, ist die Pflege des Gartens eine der wichtigsten Aufgaben. Mittlerweile haben wir eine 100 m² große Fläche vor dem Hauptgebäude mit Hochbeeten und Hügelbeet angelegt, und in den letzten vier Jahren über 50 Obstbäume gepflanzt. Jedes Jahr im Herbst feiern wir das Erntedankfest, an dem geerntet, eingekocht und gefeiert wird.
🛠 Werkstatt
Wir brauchen viele Werkzeuge, Gerätschaften und Maschinen, die gewartet werden müssen. Glücklicherweise haben wir viele talentierte Vereinsmitglieder — und unsere Werkstatt.
🎪 Workshopwiese
Auf unserer Workshopwiese veranstalten wir Events, die uns wieder zurück zur Natur bringen.
🏊 Schwimmstelle
An heißen Sommertagen ist unsere Schwimmstelle an der Nied zum Abkühlen heiß begehrt — mit Baumhaus, Sprungbrett, Sonnensegel und Hängematten. Von hier starten auch die Kanutouren.

Vaikuntha is located in Guerstling, France, close to the German border, right on the French river Nied, amid green hills and large meadows with natural water sources.
The Grounds
🏠 Main House
A former horse stable, lovingly converted using natural materials. The resulting multifunctional space can be used for workshops & trainings as well as celebrations — and serves as the heart of the community, where people cook and spend time together.
🌱 Garden
Caring for the garden is one of the most important tasks in becoming self-sufficient. We’ve since created a 100 m² garden area in front of the main building with raised beds and a hugelkultur mound, and planted over 50 fruit trees over the past four years. Every autumn we celebrate our harvest festival, with harvesting, preserving and celebrating.

We need a lot of tools, equipment and machinery that need maintaining. Luckily we have many talented members — and our workshop.

On our workshop meadow we hold events that bring us back to nature.
🏊 Swimming Spot
On hot summer days, our swimming spot on the Nied is a popular place to cool off — with a treehouse, diving board, sun sails and hammocks. Canoe tours also start from here.

Vaikuntha se trouve à Guerstling, en France, près de la frontière allemande, directement au bord de la Nied française, au milieu de collines verdoyantes et de grandes prairies aux sources d’eau naturelles.
Le terrain
🏠 Maison principale
Une ancienne écurie, aménagée avec soin à partir de matériaux naturels. L’espace multifonctionnel ainsi créé peut être utilisé pour des ateliers & formations ainsi que pour des fêtes — et sert de cœur de la communauté, où l’on cuisine et se retrouve.
🌱 Jardin
Pour être autosuffisant, l’entretien du jardin est l’une des tâches les plus importantes. Nous avons aménagé une surface de 100 m² devant le bâtiment principal avec des buttes de culture et des carrés surélevés, et planté plus de 50 arbres fruitiers ces quatre dernières années. Chaque automne, nous célébrons la fête des récoltes, entre cueillette, conserves et festivités.
🛠 Atelier
Nous avons besoin de nombreux outils, équipements et machines qui nécessitent un entretien régulier. Heureusement, nous avons de nombreux membres talentueux — et notre atelier.
🎪 Prairie des ateliers
Sur notre prairie des ateliers, nous organisons des événements qui nous reconnectent à la nature.
🏊 Baignade
Les jours de forte chaleur, notre baignade au bord de la Nied est très prisée pour se rafraîchir — avec cabane dans les arbres, plongeoir, voiles d’ombrage et hamacs. C’est aussi le point de départ des sorties en canoë.
