Bereits im Alter von drei Jahren begann er mit dem Sitar-Spiel unter Anleitung seines Vaters Pandit Kushal Das. Seine musikalische Ausbildung steht in der Linie der berühmten „Senia Maihar Gharana“ – einer der bedeutendsten Traditionen nordindischer klassischer Musik. \nSeine Musik zeichnet sich durch große Ruhe\, Präzision und emotionale Tiefe aus. Gleichzeitig trägt sie eine jahrhundertealte Tradition in sich\, in der Musik nicht nur Unterhaltung\, sondern auch Meditation\, Disziplin und spirituelle Praxis ist. \nKalyanjit konzertierte bereits auf renommierten Festivals und Bühnen in Indien\, Europa und den USA – unter anderem in London\, Amsterdam\, Los Angeles\, Dhaka und vielen weiteren Orten.
